In conjunction with British Airways and Virgin Atlantic plus the airline group at Heathrow, there’s an operational change of plane actions immediately (Monday, 19 September) in respect of the Queen’s funeral.

The following has been agreed with airways:

  • 13:45–14:20        No arrivals to assist the procession of Her Majesty’s hearse
  • 15:05–16:45        No departures to assist the ceremonial procession by way of the Long Walk to Windsor Castle
  • 16:45–21:00        A lowered departure fee to assist the Committal service at St George’s Chapel

Whilst this implies the lack of round 30 BA flights the airport factors out that successfully 15% of Heathrow’s schedule shall be altered, equal to a reasonable climate occasion.
